Every year, billions of dollars are spent to remove fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from lift station wet wells. Alongside the issues caused by FOG buildup, stagnant water can lead to increased hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas concentrations in the wet well and downstream conduits, necessitating further expenditures to remove the toxic gas.
